The Liberty County Convention and Visitors Bureau recently announce that Program Manager Amanda Scott was named an associate producer of the “Fireball Run” online series, which filmed a episode in Liberty County on Oct. 1 and 2.

The award was given at the dinner hosted Oct. 1 by the CVB at Bryant Commons for the “Fireball Run” teams and production crew.

“Fireball Run” announcer Ivan Nanney made the presentation and said the title of associate producer is granted to one person from the community who helps the production and is a significant point of contact for the show’s crew throughout the process. The recipient’s name will be on the credits for that season of the show.

“I was very surprised when my named was called and I was given the plaque,” Scott said. “Our entire office as well as numerous other organizations contributed to the success of this venture, and I couldn’t do my job without them. I’m eager to see our episode next year and watch how our community came together to pull off this huge event.”

Contact the CVB at 912-368-3580 or follow it on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram for updates on “Fireball Run.” The show’s ninth season, which features Liberty County, is scheduled to premiere in June. Previous seasons can be accessed at www.fireballrun.com.
