The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for The Young Imprint on Monday, September 8, at the Hinesville Area Arts Council, 102 Commerce Street, Hinesville.
The Young Imprint is a non-profit organization that curates original artwork by young children and invests 100% of those proceeds toward the child’s college savings plan. Founder and Executive Director, Marie Katty Antoine, hopes to bring attention, opportunity and investment to young artists in Liberty County and beyond.
Jimmy Shanken, Liberty County Chamber of Commerce Executive Board member, congratulated the new business and recognized her enthusiasm for arts: “It takes a lot of courage to start a small business, and we are very excited to have one that focuses on young artists in our community.”
Antoine thanked those in attendance and explained the inspiration behind her nonprofit: “Watching my daughter express herself through art at a young age was amazing to see. I realized this could be an avenue for her, and other young children, to find their passion and start building their future.” To learn more about The Young Imprint and how you can get involved in its mission, visit theyoungimprint.org.
