The Hinesville City Council is expected to name its new city manager at a called meeting Tuesday at noon.

The council had been set to make the hiring Thursday, but its regular meeting was canceled because of the snow storm that socked the area in Wednesday.

The three are current interim City Manager Kenneth Howard; former Madison, Fla., City Manager Timothy Bennett and former Hogansville, Ga., City Manager James Austin Woods.

Council’s next scheduled meeting is Jan. 18.

Tuesday's meeting is open to the public.
