M.E. Sack Engineering announces the addition of Randy Dykes as construction and municipal liaison. In this role, he will be the company’s primary contact for all construction-related needs. He will manage RFIs, submittal drawing approval, inspection requests, construction surveying and value engineering following design.

A Hinesville native and Bradwell Institute graduate, Dykes began his career working for his father for 18 years at L.J. Dykes Construction Company. It was here that he gained experience in residential and commercial site work.

In 2004, he began working for the City of Richmond Hill, where he served for 20 years in multiple capacities, including: the city’s first official infrastructure inspector, supervisor of inspections, assistant planning and zoning director, and director of Planning and Zoning. During his tenure with the City of Richmond Hill, he became the city’s first certified floodplain manager, leading the city into joining FEMA’s Community Rating System as a Class 7.

He helped create the city’s unified development ordinance, which included establishing overlay districts, landscaping requirements, new signage guidelines, and architectural design standards.

Dykes enjoys giving back to his community. He previously served as the director of Upward Sports Ministry through his church. He and his wife of 35 years love to spend time with their two daughters and two granddaughters as much as possible. He also enjoys playing golf, and cheering on the Braves, Falcons and Georgia Bulldogs.
