Liberty County Commissioner Gary Gilliard was the guest speaker at Jordye Bacon Elementary School’s recent fifth-grade graduation ceremony. Gilliard congratulated the students on their achievements this year and offered a few words of encouragement as the children head into sixth grade.
He gave them two points to think about: Life is complicated enough so never complicate the uncomplicated; and have fun, but stay focused and know what’s important. “You are a product of your choices so always do the right things,” Gilliard said.
