The Liberty County School System Deputy Superintendent Dr. Cheryl Conley, one of two finalists for Bryan County superintendent, was not selected for the post.

Conley said Friday that she was happy for Dr. Paul Brooksher, whom the Bryan County Board of Education selected during a Thursday meeting.  

“I would like to congratulate Dr. Brooksher as the new Bryan County superintendent,” Conley said. “I feel that he is walking into a wonderful school system. I welcome Dr. Brooksher to the area and wish him well.”

Brooksher currently serves as director of human resources and staffing for Gwinnett County Public Schools in Suwanee.
