The Village Children’s Learning Center in Hinesville celebrated National School Choice Week on Jan. 27-31 in conjunction with the school’s open house and annual art show events.
That week, parents of enrolled students were invited to visit the center to view the children’s artwork and participate in art-themed activities and projects. On Jan. 31, the students, teachers and parents ended the weeklong celebration with a mini-parade around the school.
National School Choice Week, celebrated annually the last week of January, is a nonpartisan, nonpolitical public-awareness effort, according to the movement’s website, www.schoolchoiceweek.com. It celebrates families’ rights to choose the best educational environments to suit their children’s needs.
