Fourth-grader wins WMS spelling bee

Walker Middle School recently held its annual school-wide spelling bee. This year’s winner was fourth-grader Christian Hufler, while the runner-up was fifth-grader Anthony Olivo.

Other participants included fourth-graders Isaiah Joseph and Xavier Miller; fifth-graders Laura Melton and Kieran Strong; sixth-graders Jaidha Buhoveckey, Kylee Proffitt and Iris Worthy; seventh-graders Akiura Kelly, Paul Williams and Kailan Woods; and eighth-graders Hannah Golden, Sierra Green and Richard Todd.

The spelling bee was sponsored by WMS Principal Dr. Vicky Wells and the WMS faculty and staff.
