South Georgia Technical College recreation and leisure management student Brittany Mills of Ludowici recently was named student of the month for September during a student recognition ceremony in the John M. Pope Industrial Technology Center on the Americus campus.
Mills received a plaque of recognition and a financial award from SGTC for her accomplishments. She was nominated for this honor by SGTC recreation and leisure management instructor Reco Dawson.
“I know that my stay here at SGTC is a privilege, so I take time in and out of the classroom to help others strive for greatness every day,” Mills said. “I appreciate coach Dawson for nominating me for this honor.”
