Student earns Brewton-Parker honors

MOUNT VERNON — Timothy Leon Hammett of Hinesville was recognized during Brewton-Parker College’s April 27 honors day ceremony April 27 when he received the Conrad-Shelby Academic Achievement Award, the highest honor bestowed on BPC students.
This year, Hammett and three other students tied for the highest grade point average, each earning 4.0.
Hammett was also recognized by Provost Dr. T. Ronald Melton as a dean’s scholar after qualifying for the dean’s list five out of the last seven semesters.
