Working, continuing with education, caring for family and home are some of the roles and responsibilities of a parent. When was the last time you had fun coloring or making a game that can be played by you and your child?
Tuesday, Nov. 3, was set aside as time for parents and students at Joseph Martin Elementary to do exactly that. Many parents and students enjoyed the evening at the annual math night.
Everyone enjoyed creating math games by coloring, cutting and laminating file folders during the “make it, take it” event. Participants were able to reproduce examples of ready-made math file folder games such as: batter up, big bucks, floating balloons, monster math, and many more.
Each student received a treat bag which contained a box of crayons, a ruler, a hundreds number chart, a multiplication chart, stickers, a pencil, and even a lollipop. Hot dogs, chips, and drinks were served to families.
