Carol Hough, art teacher at Waldo Pafford Elementary in Hinesville, has been recognized by online kids’ art museum Artsonia for her school’s online art gallery.

Artsonia ranked WPE’s art website, which is within Artsonia.com, No. 6 in Georgia. Rankings are based on criteria including encouragement of family and community involvement in arts education and achievement in technology integration within a school’s arts program.

During the 2011-12 school year, WPE’s gallery showcased 3,643 pieces of artwork, according to a press release. The gallery was visited more than 68,000 times and received 88 comments. Site visitors can purchase keepsakes imprinted with artwork from the site. Artsonia donates 20 percent of annual product revenue to the school’s art program.
