Former Assistant County Administrator Bob Sprinkel, far left, spent the past 10 days in Poland with the Georgia Baptist Disaster Relief team, working at and visiting camps of Ukrainian refugees who fled the Russian invasion that began on Feb. 24, 2022.
The team of volunteers spent their time constructing safer shelter and offering comfort and assistance.
Sprinkel and his team are on their way back home, and the Courier plans to share some of their adventures with readers soon.
In the meantime, you can get a glimpse of some of the things they did in Patty Leon’s column.
