The fun event helped to raise $8,515.00

A fun event held Feb. 19 helped raise $8,515.00 for the Tri-County Protective Agency in Liberty County. The "Jail and Bail," event was held at the old historic Liberty jail on Main Street. Several local business and civic leaders were "arrested," and held in jail until the community contributed to their bail out funds. Deputies from the Liberty County Sheriff's Office served as temporary jailers for the event which was organized by Tri-County Board member Valerie Andrews, who is also the Finance and  Operations Manager of  the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce.
