On Jan. 29, a mother was transporting groceries to her second-floor condominium at the Summerwind Condos on Eunice Road in Hinesville. As she walked toward her condo the child she was also holding fell from her arms and slid between the railings. The infant fell to the ground. The mother scooped up the child and went to the Navy Federal Credit Union on Veterans Parkway and S. Main Street where she called the police and EMS. The child was transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.
