The 2019-2020 Leadership Liberty class toured Liberty Regional Medical Center (LRMC) on Wednesday, March 4, as part of their 9-month leadership development class.

Class participants received an overview presentation of Liberty Regional facilities and services from the Chief Executive Officer, Tammy Mims. They then followed up with a question and answer session.

Liberty County Board of Commissioners Chairman Donald Lovette, who also serves as director of laboratory services, presented information about the partnerships and collaborations that assist in addressing and solving challenges in accessing quality healthcare. Chief Nursing Officer Donna Cochrane and Compliance Officer Lisa Pearson led the class in a tour of the hospital which included a tour of one of the new ambulances, radiology department and labor and delivery operating room. The class was able to enjoy lunch at the LRMC cafeteria, learning that its dining facilities are open to the public as well.

Leadership Liberty is 9-month class, in which class participants meet at least once per month and learn about various functions of the community to include: county government, city government, public health, public education, tourism, economic development and more.
