Commission election attracts 2 candidates

Two candidates qualified this week for the Nov. 6 special election to fill the vacant seat for Liberty County Board of Commissioners District 2.

Justin Frasier and Linda Graham, both Democrats, registered in the race, according to documents provided by the Liberty County Board of Elections and Registration.

The race will not appear on the July 31 primary and local election, for which advanced voting will run 8 a.m.-6 p.m. weekdays from July 9-27. Saturday voting will be from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. July 21.

Advanced and Saturday voting will be at the Liberty County Board of Elections and Registrar’s Office at 204 W. Memorial Dr., Hinesville and at the Midway Municipal Court Room building at 10490 E. Oglethorpe Highway.

Voter registration deadline for the July 31 election is July 2.
