Early voting began Monday. Turnout has been slow.
Poll officers Margret Padrick, Phyllis Frasier and Marian Howell said some of those who’ve come in to vote have said they had to ask around about where to vote.
“Since yesterday, we’ve had fewer than 50 people come in to vote early,” Padrick said Tuesday. “We’ve had some people tell us they didn’t know where to go.”
“There are two places now where people can vote early,” Howell said. “They can vote at the new Liberty County Community Complex in Midway, or they can vote here (on the first floor) of the old courthouse.”
She said early voting continues through May 16, Monday-Friday, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Georgia’s primary is May 20.
