U.S. Rep. Buddy Carter visited the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce and the Liberty County Convention and Visitors Bureau last week.

The Pooler Republican, who represents Georgia’s 1st Congressional District, dropped by the groups’ new location, 208 E. Court St. in downtown Hinesville on July 11.

According to chamber and CVB CEO Leah Poole, this was the first time Carter visited the historic Bacon-Fraser House, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, which serves as a welcome center to all who visit Liberty County. He received a tour of the offices and took time to congratulate Mary Prince, coordinator of first impressions, who recently won a stellar service award from the Tourism Division of the Georgia Department of Economic Development.

“We were honored to have Congressman Carter in our office and even more happy that Mary could be recognized again for her exemplary customer service,” Poole said.
