LCDA budget not yet final

The Liberty County Development Authority Board of Directors met Monday morning to hear the proposed budget for fiscal year 2015.
A budget was not approved, as the board is negotiating specific plans for the nearly $1.5 million in projected costs for improvements to the Tradeport East Business Park.
Although the Courier previously reported that these improvements included wetland repair, LCDA CEO Ronald Tolley clarified that no actual wetlands have been damaged. Tracts of land that were timbered last year were subsequently inundated with rain water and now are in need of repair before further development can be done.
