The 2016-17 Leadership Liberty class had its Liberty County Commission session on Jan. 11, as part of the nine-month leadership development class.

Class participants met with leaders of the commission, sheriff’s department, magistrate and probate courts, clerk of courts, tax commissioner, public works, recreation department and public safety, as well as the emergency management agency. They toured facilities and heard presentations on county government, and the impact on our community and its growth.

Leadership Liberty participants meet at least once per month and learn about various functions of the community. It is organized through the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce.
