The Progress Through People Luncheon is a monthly event organized by the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce.

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce (LCCOC) and Convention & Visitors Bureau (LCCVB) invite community members, business leaders, elected officials, and stakeholders to attend the October Progress Through People Luncheon celebrating Liberty County’s birthday. The event will take place on Thursday, October 22, beginning at noon at the Liberty County Performing Arts Center, 2140 East Oglethorpe Highway, Hinesville.

Each year, the October Progress Through People luncheon celebrates Liberty County’s birthday.

This one will also honor the people who continue to shape the community every day — local small businesses. Every local business has its own story, personality and purpose. This year’s October Progress Through People luncheon will not only highlight those stories and personalities, but also intentionally support them. Nearly every element of the luncheon will feature Liberty County small businesses — including the desserts, favors, door prizes and Jeopardy game.

“Small businesses are the backbone of Liberty County. We wouldn’t have the growth, cultureorcommunity we do without them,” said Leah Poole, president and CEO of the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau. “We hope this October Progress Through People Luncheon leaves guests inspired to think differently about shopping local and recognize the importance of supporting small businesses in Liberty County.”

Tickets are $25 for Chamber members and $45 for non-members. RSVPs are required by Monday, October 19, and can be made by emailing assistant@libertycounty. org or calling (912) 368-4445. Late RSVPs are subject to a $5 surcharge, and a $10 surcharge will apply to those attending without an RSVP, if seating is available.
