The public comment period for the Army’s Programmatic Environmental Assessment for Army 2020 Force Structure Realignment, a non-decisional study that considers the effects of both growth and reduction at installations across the Army, has been extended by 30 days.
The Army study evaluates the impacts of a 3,000-personnel growth and an 8,000-personnel reduction on Fort Stewart. At this time, the Department of Defense has not made any decisions about growth, reduction or maintaining the status quo at any Army installation.
A notice will appear in the Federal Register on Feb. 19, the original end date for public comment, extending the comment period to March 21.
Comments can be emailed to USARMY.JBSA.AEC.MBX@mail.mil or mailed to: USAEC Attn: IMPA-AE (Army 2020 PEA), 2450 Connell Road (Building 2264), Fort Sam Houston, Texas, 78234-7664
