A man riding a moped was seriously injured Tuesday evening after colliding with a SUV in Hinesville.
The accident occurred shortly after 10 p.m., according to Hinesville Police Department Traffic Accident Investigator Micheal Ramirez, and took place at the intersection of E.G. Miles Parkway and Sharon Street.
The man, identified as Lesley White, 48, of Hinesville, was flown by LifeStar to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah. White's injuries were severe enough that doctors removed his leg below the knee.
