The NAACP approached the city of Hinesville on Thursday and demanded city officials immediately disband the Crime Suppression Unit, alleging the CSU practices racial profiling. NAACP representatives submitted what they called a list of “citizens’ demands” during the city council’s regular meeting after a rally earlier that day on the Liberty County Courthouse steps. For the complete list and more on the meetings, pick up a copy of Sunday's Coastal Courier.
