Heat taking toll on fishing
Tight line

Coastal fishing continues to be slow because of the hot weather.
I went over to Yellow Bluff to check with Rayburn Goodman, operator of the Yellow Bluff Fishing Camp.
Goodman reported the fishing was slow, and he also believes it is because of the hot weather we are having.
Goodman did say he had several boats out over the weekend, and most of them reported catching trout and a few bass. They also reported most all of the bass are getting legal size.
My son, Donny Branch, was fishing with my grandson, Rodney Hall, and landed several bass over the weekend.
Goodman and Yellow Bluff Fishing Camp reported they caught live local shrimp and live minnows.
We should have some good fishing tides for a few days and the water is clear. It’s a good time to take a fishing trip.
Just remember if you do go fishing, to always keep a tight line.
