SAVANNAH — Savannah State University will host the annual National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Summit on Environmental Entrepreneurship from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, April 8, at Tiger Arena on SSU’s campus.

Sponsored by the NOAA Educational Partnership Program, the summit is free and open to high school students, teachers, college students and faculty members with an interest in careers in environmental science. Industry professionals will discuss how students trained in science, technology, engineering and math can incorporate business skills into technical training to create careers in the environmental field.

Strong students will be offered internships with summit mentors, and professionals looking to attract new talent also are encouraged to attend the event or set up a display. College students are invited to present related research during a special poster session.
