Hello friends and fellow fishermen, Tight Line Jr. here. Ole’ Tight Line says hello and hopes you all are doing well. Let me report the results of the Halfmoon Fishing Tournament last weekend, and then I’ll give some reports from the coastal area.
Tournament winners were:
First place: John “the Rog” Rogers
Second place: Gail “the female” Rogers
Third place: Colonel’s Island legend Pinky McCord.
In the spot tail bass category the winners were:
First place: “Fishing” Bill Wallace
Second place: Pinky McCord
Third place: John Rogers
John also caught the limit on trout, the limit on spottail and made a fist full of cash. Not a bad day considering he didn’t get up until 10 a.m.
Here are the reports from Yellow Bluff and the surrounding areas.  Neal Howard and his fishing party landed 10 spot tail bass and 20 trout. Mike Howard hauled in 15 trout.  Captain Bing Phillips and his wife netted the limit on trout.  So it looks like the trout are here and that’s a good sign for the fall season.
Now on to the dock tour. Boo Hall and I docked six nice trout, seven large spot tail bass and three sheep head on two tours.
“Casanova” Kyle Carter was out fishing with Melissa Ray and landed two spot tail bass. Rayburn Goodman at Yellow Bluff reports having plenty of live shrimp and minnows. Halfmoon has live shrimp.
So remember what Tight Line says and get out there and go fishing. And if you do go fishing always remember to keep a tight line.
I always say hit the docks, keep a sharp eye and watch that cork go down.

Your Buddy,
Tight Line Jr.
