Allenhurst man faces rape charges

Raymond T. Smith, 23, of Allenhurst, recently was charged with two counts of statutory rape, two counts of enticing a child for indecent purposes and two counts of molestation in Long County, according to Sheriff’s office Lt. Tom Sollosi.
The suspect was arrested Sept. 17 for his alleged involvement in an incident concerning an 11-year-old Long County girl. He has not posted bond and is incarcerated in the Tattnall County Jail, Sollosi said.
