• Latasha Jackson (Murder)
Jackson is accused of stabbing Roosevelt Buchannan, 73, in the stomach and then fleeing in his car on Oct. 19, 2006. She faced charges of theft by taking of an automobile and aggravated assault. The assault charge later turned to felony murder when Buchannan died in the hospital from the inflicted wound about three weeks after the incident.

Geiger was arrested in Bulloch County and faces a murder charge for his alleged involvement in the stabbing death of his former girlfriend, Rosie Smith, on March 6. Her body was found in a hallway closet at her Raintree apartment.

• Julie Barnard (Arson, aggravated assault)
Julie Barnard was charged with one count of first-degree arson and five counts of aggravated assault in what police believe was a murder-suicide attempt. Barnard reportedly set fire to the home where her estranged husband and children were sleeping May 31, 2007. When the children woke up to the smoke alarms, it was reported Julie Barnard gathered them in a bedroom and asked them to pray together. The eldest daughter is credited with saving herself and her siblings by breaking out a window and helping them escape the blaze. John Barnard was able to exit the house by pushing out a window unit air conditioner and crawling to safety. Julie Barnard fled the scene after dropping the children off at Liberty Regional Medical Center where her daughter was treated for injuries. Barnard was arrested later that evening after she was seen wandering the roadways in Ludowici and threatening suicide with a gun.
