• A resident of Frank Cochran Drive reported his car broken into and an amplifier stolen. The amplifier was valued at $300.
• A customer at a store on West Oglethorpe Highway reported being robbed at gunpoint by a man who entered her vehicle in the parking lot. The woman told police she also was forced to drive to an ATM and withdraw more money before returning to the store and being told to wait inside while the suspect fled. The woman, whose child was with her at the time, also told police she was familiar with the suspect but didn’t know his name. She said the suspect’s brother was an acquaintance of hers. The suspect reportedly fled on foot with a total of $340 in cash.
• Police made a referral to the Department of Family and Child Services after a woman on Meloney Drive reported a young child was found wandering down the street unaccompanied. The child’s mother was located by the resident and told police this was the second time the child had left the house while in the care of an adult.
