A Walthourville police officer has been arrested and charged with sexual assault. According to GBI Agent Eve Rogers, Kevin Rayley was arrested and charged with one count of sexual assault. Atlantic Judicial Circuit District Attorney Tom Durden said the charge stems from a traffic stop Rayley initiated Aug. 23. Durden, who is awaiting the report, was unable to provide details on the type of assault that allegedly occurred. Walthourville Police Chief Tracy McFadden said Rayley had been with the department since April 2012 and has resigned from the force. Rayley posted bond, according to Durden.
