Pandemonium broke out late Friday night when gunshots were fired as hundreds waited in line for a sneaker sale in the Liberty Square Shopping Center in Hinesville.

According to Hinesville Police Department Detective Joshua Heath, at about 11 p.m. four individuals got into an altercation. Heath said one of the men began brandishing a handgun in an altercation with two men who were waiting outside the Pro Feet shoe store. The men began fighting until one of them fired off several rounds, scattering the crowd that had been lined up to buy sneakers when the store opened.
