As of Tuesday night, there were still no suspect arrests in connection with last Wednesday’s robbery of The Heritage Bank in Midway, said Atlanta FBI Agent Stephen Emmett.

The FBI released a picture of the suspect who witnesses described as being a white male, about 5’ 5" to 5’9", 150 pounds and in his mid 20s. The suspect wore a helmet and gloves but, according to FBI reports, no motorcycle was seen or heard around the area at the time of the robbery.

The FBI is still asking the public to come forth with any information regarding the incident.

At around 10 a.m. last Wednesday, the man entered the bank and walked up to a teller as if he was going to make a transaction, but instead demanded money.

"He placed the book bag on the counter and ordered the victim teller to put money in the bag. As the teller was retrieving money from his teller drawer, the robber placed a black semi-automatic pistol on the counter and told the teller he was sorry," said Gregory Jones with the Atlanta FBI. "After obtaining FDIC insured funds, the robber walked out of the bank and disappeared."
