With all the Internet's counsel on surviving the holidays as a single adult, that demographic could probably spend most of Christmastime reading advice on how to do just that.

And turning to faith for enlightenment might not be a bad start.

Eric Demeter of Relevant wrote that God wants all to thrive and find peace within their current situation.

"To do this, we must accept His timing for marriage, no matter what the clock says," Relevant's report read. "Sometimes that means rewriting our life planner; other times, it means scrapping it altogether."

Inviting family and friends over, attending gatherings and sight-seeing keep singles busy and positive too, Cheyenne Bostock wrote for The Huffington Post. The whole positivity part proves crucial and helps in making decisions in December to possibly improve relationships next year.

And Vicki Larson for The Washington Post gave some wisdom on how to get the most of survival tips on being alone during Christmas.

That's by not reading them at all, she wrote.

"Are we more alone during the holidays than any other time of the year? While some of us arent close, geographically or emotionally, to our parents, siblings and relatives, others are," the Post's report read. "Many of us have friends and a tribe of assorted love ones who feel more like family than our family of origin. But what is it about the holidays that make us feel particularly vulnerable to messages that seem to indicate that were 'less than' because we dont have a romantic partner?"

Regardless of people's takes on advice for singles during the holidays, a new WalletHub report stated one thing in particular might make a difference location.

WalletHub ranked the 150 most populated U.S. cities in 25 metrics to see which offer the best opportunities for singles this holiday season. From finances to chances for dating and fun, the criteria found Salt Lake City is the No. 1 spot.

Yonkers, New York, came in last, the report indicated.

WalletHub's article read it doesn't "guarantee you'll find your soul mate," but living in the top cities for singles shows they're "much closer to happier ever after" than they think.

WalletHub specifically took restaurant meal costs, lowest rent of one-bedroom apartments and highest percentage of single persons into account, compounded with 22 other factors.
