Warrants: Brunswick victims were beaten

BRUNSWICK — Arrest warrants for a Georgia man charged with killing his father and seven others in their mobile home say the victims were all beaten to death with a blunt weapon.
The warrants for 22-year-old Guy Heinze Jr., who reported the slayings to police Aug. 29 in a frantic 911 call, were released Tuesday after being filed with a court in the coastal city of Brunswick.
Police have previously refused to say how the eight victims died. The warrants say Heinze bludgeoned each of them with a blunt instrument, but do not specify what type of weapon was used.
Heinze's attorney, Ron Harrison, said Tuesday that Heinze denied any involvement in the slayings and is distraught over the deaths.
