An early morning fire Thursday displaced two people, according to the Hinesville Fire Department.

Hinesville Fire Department Deputy Chief Kevin Bechert said units were notified of a structure fire on the 100 block of Grandview Drive. When firefighters arrived around 12:30 a.m., the second floor, which is used as an office, was engulfed in flames.

Bechert said firefighters brought the fire under control within minutes. The damage, however, was extensive enough to render the residence uninhabitable and the Red Cross was called in for assistance.

No injuries have been reported.
