The best, worst movies of 2018
Justin Hall
Justin Hall

Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga singing their hearts out. Tom Cruise performing his most death-defying stunts ever. A cornucopia of superheroes. Melissa McCarthy and Kevin Hart failing to make the grade. And the most unmagical Harry Potter movie ever. What do they all have in common? They're gonna make either list for my picks of the year's 10 best or worst movies.

Yes, another year has come and gone and now once again, I have to sort out the best of the best and the bottom of the barrel.

Of course, one person's critical darling is another's gargantuan flop. One person's satisfying blockbuster is another person's massive disappointment. One person's Oscar hopeful is another's overrated pile of cinema. I could go on and on.

Over the past year, I saw 52 movies, but 20 of them stayed with me in either a good or bad way and now I'm gonna give them what they deserve. Plus, like I do every year, I also include my picks for runner-up on both lists.

Without further ado, let the countdowns begin!

10 Best of 2018:

1. A Quiet Place
2. Searching
3. Crazy Rich Asians
4. Avengers: Infinity War
5. A Star Is Born
6. Mission: Impossible- Fallout
7. The Incredibles 2
8. Deadpool 2
9. Vice
10. Black Panther
Runner-up: Widows

10 Worst of 2018:

And there you have it. My picks for the best of the best and the bottom of the barrel. All of my 10 best list are now available on Blu-Ray and DVD. Vice is still currently playing in theaters and A Star Is Born schedule for home release on February 19th.

As for my 10 worst list, well...let's just say you're better off volunteering your time for a more constructive activity.
