On Wednesday, 29 March 2023, the members of our Chapter will be hosting a Vietnam Veterans Recognition Day Program, starting at 11 a.m. in Bryant Commons on West Oglethorpe Highway in Hinesville. This Recognition Day for America’s Vietnam Veterans was set into law in March 2017 and sets this Day aside to “Welcome Home America’s Vietnam Veterans.”

As valued supporter of not only our Liberty County VVA Chapter 789, but all VVA Chapters, we request your presence at our ceremony and at our Welcome Home Family Day immediately following the ceremony. During this year’s Family Day, we will be kicking off our program to bring the VVMF. org’s “The Wall That Heals” here to Liberty County sometime during 2024.

We, the VVA and AVVA members, continue to strive to ask our nation to bring home the remains of all America’s missing in action as well as the return of any remaining prisoners of war. This Vietnam Veterans Recognition Day we will be striving to educate the local community members about our experiences in Vietnam as well as the concerns not only felt by ourselves but by our families also.
