Dear editor:

The Board of Directors of Seven Ministries of Liberty County, Inc. would like to once again thank this community for supporting our annual fundraiser, The Jackie Gilliard-Henderson Memorial Scholarship Walk-A-Thon.  

2019 was our 9th annual event and we had the largest crowd ever! I want to thank Pastor Sinclair L. Thone and the entire First Calvary Missionary Baptist Church family for their continued support; Calvary is my church and we will always lift our eyes to Calvary.  

I want to thank the other ministers and churches that donated and/or participated; real leadership comes from the churches.  

Thanks to my friends from politics; we had a host of elected and appointed officials present.  

Thanks for our corporate sponsors (you know who you are), and thanks to all that donated and participated.  

And last but never least, I want to thank The Home Team from Azalea Street for volunteering (we can’t do it without you).
