Support for LCHS Panthers much appreciated
Letter to editor

Editor, Tuesday, Nov. 17, I received a text from Liberty County High School football coach Kirk Warner seeking financial support for the Panthers as they prepared to travel to Cartersville for the second round of the state playoffs. Immediately, I sent a text to a few of my friends from the world of business and politics, and we raised a few dollars for the team.

The Board of Directors of Seven Ministries of Liberty County Inc. would like to thank attorney Robert “Bob” Pirkle, attorney Craig Stafford, attorney Jeff Arnold, businessman Kenny Fussell, Clerk of Superior Court Barry Wilkes, State Solicitor Jeff Osteen and Liberty County Sheriff Steve Sikes. (Seven Ministries made a donation under our Youth Mentoring Ministry.) A community is only as good as its leadership, and this spur-of-the-moment act of community involvement showed the type of giving leaders we have here in Liberty County.

Although “the home team” fell a little short, and the outcome of the game didn’t go our way, the support shown by some of Liberty County’s finest leaders is greatly appreciated.
