Editor, On behalf of the Liberty County Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Observance Association, I want to personally thank our community for its incredible support. We have reached a milestone in our philanthropic work, as this year marks a total of $100,000 awarded in scholarships to high-school seniors.
We are deeply grateful for the ongoing commitment in memory of Dr. King to lift our young people to high levels of achievement. This year, we again awarded 10 scholarships to students who will continue their journey towards their career goals.
I want to highlight the 2014 Gold and Corporate sponsors of our annual golf tournament, without whom we could not have reached this milestone. We appreciate their contributions.
• Gold Corporate Sponsors:

KC Brothers Construction
• Corporate Sponsors

The association is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, which solely exists for our community’s edification. We realize the blessing of being the fulcrum by which local businesses, organizations, churches and individuals can give to make the difference in our community — both now and into the future.
