According to Liberty Panther football coach Kirk Warner and booster club President Yolanda Evette Walton-Mothershed, the scrimmage between the Bradwell Institute Tigers and the Liberty County Panthers has been rescheduled.

The game will be played at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, instead of a Friday kickoff.

The game marks the first time the local high schools have competed in football in five years.

The coach said the change was decided by the Liberty County Board of Education. Calls seeking comment from Superintendant Dr. Judy Scherer were not returned by press time.

The coach said no tickets will be sold at the gate but they are available for advance purchase at both schools and the BoE office.

The Courier was unable to confirm ticket prices.
