BI Tigers, Liberty Panthers split scrimmage wins

It was just a scrimmage but the intensity of the action and the roar of the crowd made it seem like the real deal as the Liberty County Panthers hosted the BI Tigers for a basketball scrimmage Tuesday night.

The girls took the court first where the Lady Tigers beat the home team 54-36, primarily off an impressive performance by freshman Shaquoia Crockett. Senior Mariah Maternik played as expected and the duo were among the top scorers for coach Faye Baker's team.

The boys then took to the hardwood where the home team led the entire game winning 63-48. Senior Panther Tucory Rhodes took the spotlight for the boys.
