The Long County Blue Tide soccer teams had challenging 2026 seasons with the teams having to play 15 of their 18 games on the road because of construction at Veterans’ Stadium.
Despite this, the teams still had several players make the all-Region 3-AAA teams. For the boys, five players received all-region honors while 11 girls received all-region recognition.
Senior Taejaun Allen was selected to the boys all-region first team and seniors Macey Higgason and Safeara McGhee and juniors Jersi Lester, Reese Davis and Abygail Medina were named to the girls all-region first team.
Allen was the leading scorer for the Blue Tide throughout the season and has been one of the leaders for the team since transferring in his sophomore season.
Higgason was a big member for the Tide throughout the year before a knee injury ended her season prematurely. She was previously a two-time region player of the year. McGhee played a big role in goal for the Tide.
Lester and Davis were the main offensive weapons for the Tide, with the latter leading the team in scoring this season. Medina was a big presence on the Tide defense.
On the second team were senior Nick Contreras and sophomore Jose Tellez-Baltazar for the boys and senior Ruby Garcia, sophomores Brianna Contreras and Kaitlyn Contreras, and freshmen Gracie Wingate and Madison Gomez for the girls.
Making honorable mention were senior Luis Medina and junior Eli Gumataotao for the boys and sophomore Jordyn Marchand for the girls.
The boys will return two of their all-region players while the girls bring back eight of their all-region players for the 2027 season.
