Eddie Carr, Patrick Edwards and Bermuda Schwartz grabbed medalist honors this past week during the Jake Blitz held at Cherokee Rose Country Club. 

Edwards and Schwartz shot the low rounds of the week with 2-under rounds of 69 and Carr recorded a 70 to take the Wednesday blitz. 

Points winners for the week were Eddie Carr, Tracy Howard with +5 and Leroy Strickland with +10.

Cherokee Rose also holds a four-person scramble every Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. Players are invited to show up by 12:30 and will be paired with other participants for the 18-hole scramble.

The Cherokee Rose Country Club Jake Blitz is held every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.  Sign up times end at 8:30 am on Wednesday and Saturday with start time at 9:00 am. Sign up time ends at 12:30 pm on Sunday with start at 1:00 pm. Golfers are paired into groups and are on a points system. Course members and the public are invited to play.
