Georgia Games cycling championships set for July 11

MARIETTA — The Georgia State Games Cycling Championships road race will take place July 11. The criterium and time trials will follow on July 12.

The race will be in White and Bartow counties, with start times between 8 and 11 a.m. The circuit begins at Cass High School and is 19 miles on country roads.

The cost per person is $32, and $26 for juniors with late fees.

The criterium and time trials will be in Marietta’s West Oak Center. Registration begins at 7:15 a.m. for both. The time trial is 6 miles, while the criterium is 6.8 miles. Entry in the criterium is $32, and $26 for juniors. The time trial costs $20 per person with late fees.

The top three cyclists in each category will win gold, silver and bronze medals. All participants will receive a Georgia Games T-shirt, and select category winners will receive a Georgia Games cycling jersey.
