STATESBORO & ATLANTA – A “Whiteout” is in effect for Georgia Southern’s game vs. Georgia State at the Georgia Dome on Saturday, October 25th as Eagle Nation is encouraged to wear white to the game. The University Store will have white “SOUTHERN not State” T-shirts available both in the campus store and online for this special event.

Tickets for the “Whiteout” game at the Georgia Dome may be purchased through the Georgia Southern Athletics Ticket Office by visiting GSEagles.com/fbtix, calling 1-800-GSU-WINS, or purchasing at the Cowart Building located at 203 Lanier Drive in Statesboro. Online ordering is available 24/7 with the Athletics Ticket Office open for phone and in-person assistance during regular business hours Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Kickoff for the first-ever meeting between the in-state Sun Belt Conference rivals is set for 2 p.m. The Eagles, making their second trip to Atlanta this year, play seven of their 12 games in the state of Georgia.

This will be only the second time in the program’s history the Eagles have played at the Georgia Dome.  In 1995, Georgia Southern, designated as the home team, topped Middle Tennessee State 34-26.

The Georgia Southern Office of Alumni Relations is playing host to a Game Day Tailgate and BBQ in the Yellow Parking Lot and Marshalling Yard of the Georgia World Congress Center beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday. Tickets for the event are $12.50 and must be purchased in advance. Additional information is available at alumni.georgiasouthern.edu/ATLGSU.
