Hamilton Named To All-KCAC Team

SALINA, KS -- Former Liberty County High School football standout Cleon Hamilton has been recognized for his play on the gridiron this fall by the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Hamilton was one of 22 players from Kansas Wesleyan University to earn All-KCAC honors. Hamilton was named honorable mention as a defensive back.

The junior business management major started three of the nine regular season games he played in and was in on 30 tackles (26 solo) and had two interceptions. He had a season-high eight tackles in a 65-7 season opening win over Friends University.

Before coming to KWU, Hamilton played at Butte College in California.

Kansas Wesleyan finished the regular season with a 10-1 overall record while going 9-1 in KCAC play. KWU lost to Morningside 58-21 in the quarterfinals of the NAIA Football Championship Series on Nov. 27.
