Lady Tigers lose tight game in Richmond Hill

Bradwell Institute’s softball team kept fighting, but the Richmond Hill girls edged out a 4-2 win in the final regular season and Region 3-AAAAA game for the Lady Tigers.

The game was played Tuesday in Richmond Hill.

The Lady Tigers scored in the first inning when Jakaria Fleming singled, stole second and scored off a single by Mackenzie Stewart. However, the Lady Wildcats scored twice in the bottom of the inning on a two-run ground-out by Izzy Marsh, scoring in Caroline Williams and Liz Wallace.

In the second inning, Lady Wildcat Adrianna Garrett hit a single, scoring Ally Crum.

Wallace then scored in the third inning to give the Richmond Hill girls a 4-1 lead.

The Lady Tigers closed the gap in the fourth when Miracle Fata scored by stealing home.

The game went seven innings and neither team crossed the plate again. The Wildcats held the 4-2 region win.

Stewart pitched the complete game, tossing seven strikeouts, walking five and gave up five hits.

The Lady Tigers finished the season 4-20 overall and 0-8 in the region.
